“The Dialectic of the Stars: Bodies2” at L.A. Dance Project

From Hollywood to Downtown…from air and mechanics to the body…The Dialectic of the Stars: Bodies2 at L.A. Dance Project brought us to full circle back to the corporeal.

Naotaka Hiro’s visceral The Pit (Dancer with the Golden Lips) (2013), brought us face to face (so to speak) with this coporeality and the discomfort and uncanniness it can so easily bring forth.

Noé Soulier then performed his celebrated work Movement on Movement, which manages to be many things at once. A danced lecture, a lecture of words and movement, which manages to reveal and split open even the most basic aspects of our relationship to the body and to the world.
