Simon Ripoll-Hurier

Born in 1985, Simon Ripoll-Hurier lives and works in Paris.
Simon Ripoll-Hurier's work is at the intersection of music and the visual arts. He has worked on ‘collective images’ such as Hollywood (‘Translations’, 2008-2010), Broadway (‘The Broadway Melody’, 2010-2013), or dreams (‘Dreamland’, 2013). Between 2014 and 2017 he developed ‘Diana’, a project involving film, video, performance and radio creation, over the course of which, he explored different ‘practices or forms of listening’ which he connects or combines together (amateur radio clubs, birdwatching, ghost hunting, etc.).
His work has been presented in various festivals and biennales (Visions du Réel; FIDMarseille; Bergen Assembly; Helicotrema...), art centres (Palais de Tokyo; Laboratoires d'Aubervilliers; Frac Franche-Comté; Ujazdowski Castle in Warsaw; Greylight in Brussels; Le Magasin; la Villa du Parc...) and broadcast on the radio (France Culture, Wave Farm / WGXC...).
He also plays with les Agamemnonz and co-founded *DUUU,an artists’ web radio. Website
